Fitness has always been important in my life. I always enjoyed sports growing up and became a physical therapist to share that passion with others and help patients and clients rehab from their injuries and reach their physical goals. After several years of practicing physical therapy, my wife and I decided I could stay home and raise our kids. It's been the best job in the world and a great decision for our family. With three kids it is hard to fit in drive time gyms and I was looking for a cable system that I could train functional movements. This system fit my needs without taking up much space-I still have plenty of room to play and train with the kids. I enjoy playing tennis in addition to all the sports my kids are involved in. After turning 50, I know how important strength training is to living an active life. One of my tennis friends is 82 years old and running circles around the court. I hope to be that guy in the future and I want to continue to model the importance of fitness and healthy living for my kids.
This gym space is special in that the wall mural I had made was from a photo I took last spring while our family was on vacation at the Monte Carlo Rolex Masters tennis tournament. Every time I exercise I can see my family in the stands waving at me. And I'm not sure if this project would have been possible without my awesome neighbor and friend, Dave, that helped me with the install.
