Mobility Band Bench Press

The first thing you need to do is select a mobility band that fits your needs. Select a bigger band for higher resistance, or a smaller band for less resistance and maybe more reps. Now that you have chosen your mobility band wisely, sit on your bench (ready to lay down). Now place the mobility band behind your back, and loop it in each hand. Carefully lay down (with the mobility band between your back and the bench) and you should be able to begin bench pressing!

Here are a few things to keep in mind while doing this exercise:

  • The band is best positioned across the bottom of your shoulder blades to prevent any movement of the band and provide the optimal amount of resistance.
  • Be intentional that you move your arms up and down simultaneously.
  • You can put a wooden dowel through the band loops (where your hands go) to create a bar you can bench.

That's it! If you don't have a barbell or want a different feel for your bench press, try out this home gym hack!
