Proper cable routing is essential to preventing cable damage. Incorrect routing or sudden, jerking movements can cause the cable to jump off the pulley, resulting in damage to the cable coating.

Before each workout, make sure your cable is securely seated in the pulley groove. Improper routing can lead to friction, pinching, and permanent cable damage.

Check that your cable follows the correct routing path and stays securely seated in each pulley throughout your workout.

Quick, jerking movements--especially at lighter weights--can cause cables to jump out of their pulley grooves and damage the cable coating. Keep your movements smooth and controlled to protect your equipment.
A quick cable check and controlled movements go a long way in preventing unnecessary wear and tear.
